- Guide Virginia Cook Presenting the Abraham Lincoln Chair, Then on Exhibit in Greenfield Village, April 1955 - Henry Ford admired President Lincoln's humble, down-to-earth character and his embodiment of the ideals of the "self-made man." Ford collected many Lincoln-related artifacts, including the Logan County, Illinois, courthouse in which Lincoln had first practiced law and the chair in which Lincoln was assassinated. He housed his Lincoln collection inside the courthouse when it was re-erected in Greenfield Village.

- Guide Marie Hamilton with Igor Moiseyev and a Member of the Moiseyev Dance Company, June 1, 1961 - The parents of Marie Hamilton (1922-1991) fled Russia, moving to Bulgaria, where Maria was born. The following year, the family moved to the US and settled in Detroit. Marie became a part-time guide at the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in 1952. Twelve years later, she worked full-time, conducting VIP tours for foreign dignitaries (she spoke fluent Russian) and supervising other guides.

It was originally interpreted with a focus on architecture and antiques, but demonstrations of colonial-era activities enlivened the structure in the 1980s. Later, based on new research, activities more accurately recreated the life of the home's original occupants, the Daggett family, in the 1760s.
